“I was born in Purmerend and grew up in the Beemster.
From a young age, I was deeply curious and constantly asked questions — “why?” was something people around me heard often. That same curiosity drove me to explore and understand the world around me.
As I entered adolescence, it was no longer just about taking in information, but also about expressing myself. The guitar became my outlet, a way to give shape to the emotions of that time. Yet, I soon realized that I needed something more.
Over time, I became aware that I was stuck in patterns that were limiting me. Feelings of inadequacy and a constant need to prove myself kept me trapped. I found distraction in nightlife, where I even started my own ventures, but deep down I knew I didn’t belong there either.
My search eventually led me to psychotherapy, meditation, yoga, the work of Jung, shamanic traditions in the Amazon, and kickboxing. These practices brought structure and grounding into my life, and I discovered the value of having such anchors. Gradually, I stepped away from the nightlife and chose a different path.
Growth and development continue to drive me. That curious boy is still very much alive within me — always exploring, always seeking new ways to grow, both for myself and for the people I work with.
